Indications and Dosage
Oral
Bronchodilator
Adult: 2-4 mg bid-tid.
Special Precautions
Hyperthyroidism, myocardial insufficiency, arrhythmias, susceptibility to QT-interval prolongation, hypertension, DM, seizures disorders.
Adverse Reactions
Fine tremor of skeletal muscle, palpitations, muscle cramps, tachycardia, headache, peripheral vasodilatation, hypersensitivity reactions such as paradoxical bronchospasm, hypokalaemia and hyperglycaemia.
Drug Interactions
Increased risk of arrhythmia with digoxin. Enhanced neuromuscular blockade with neuromuscular blockers such as pancuronium and vecuronium. Increased risk of hypokalaemia with concomitant admin of xanthines, corticosteroids and diuretics.
Action
Description: Tretoquinol is a direct-acting sympathomimetic with a selective action on β2-receptors.
